Butte to Butte volunteers are a huge part of race day success and we are grateful for their commitment and support. Volunteer sign up is open for race-day course marshals. When you sign up to be a volunteer, you will receive an email with instructions. Volunteers receive the official event shirt.

Finish Line 5:30 am - 8:30 am 6:30 am - 10:30 am

The Volunteer Coordinator will send you an email confirming your shift.
If you are a course marshal, your safety vest, stop paddle and event shirt can be picked up at Run Hub Northwest (515 High St) in Eugene, starting on July 1.
If you are a start/finish line volunteer, you may pick up your event shirt at the event.
If you are a course marshal, a course sweeper will pass you on race day at the end of your shift, collect your supplies and let you know when it is okay to leave your post.
If you cannot fulfill your commitment, you are responsible for finding your replacement and calling the Volunteer Coordinator with the name, phone number and email address of your replacement at 541-484-9883 (no less than one week prior to race day). You are responsible for forwarding your instructions to your replacement and giving your supplies to that person if you've already picked up. Emails sent on race day will not be received.
If you are an Oregon Track Club Member who is volunteering with the OTC Butte To Butte to gain access to the Nike Employee Store, please note that eligible positions include course marshal locations and finish line roles on race day. To be eligible to apply Butte To Butte toward your volunteer requirement, you must sign up to volunteer by June 10th.
